I have combination oily skin and have been using this to help with acne scarring and uneven tone. Give this product 2 weeks to really see the difference. It works better with acne scarring, but with uneven tone it does show some improvements just not as dramatically obvious. I use this product on my face every 2-3 days with moisturiser, it can also help improve body acne scarring.
Vita B3 Source
The Tiam Vita B3 Source serum completely dried out my skin. Within 3 days of use my skin was parched and rough, similar to using high strength benzoyl peroxide or a specially targeted drying lotion. There are much better 10% niacinamide serums available by other brands. I've had good results from the Inkey List niacinamide serum and also Good Molecules niacinamide serum. Both of these actually delivered on their promises and improved my skin texture and reduced redness. I also recommend combining either of these with the Alpha Arbutin 2% + HA by The Ordinary to reduce hyperpigmentation. These are higher quality products and at a reasonable price point too. Save your skin from damage and stay away from Vita B3 Source!!
Love this for fading my acne hyperpigmentation. My skin is combo oily with dry flaky patches. Doesn't irritate my skin like The Ordinary niacinamide serum. It's neither drying nor particularly moisturizing really. Wouldn't say it prevents acne, but it definitely helps spots disappear faster and calms bumpy irritated patches. Definitely recommend if you can't use vit C or other leave on chemical exfoliants.
