Not long ago, HIKOCO brought in a new product that is specifically made for BLACKHEADS! I will be giving my honest opinion on this product so if you’re curious please keep reading! The Bye Bye Blackhead Cleanser is said to be a “quick 5 minute detox care to clear out blackheads and impurities from your pores”.
Product Description: “Formulated with 16 kinds of tea extracts and naturally-derived BHA to deeply cleanse, brighten, exfoliate and tighten your pores”
As mentioned in the product description, the Bye Bye Blackhead Foam Cleanser contains 16 different kinds of tea extracts and naturally-derived BHA to provide a deeply cleansed and brighter skin complexion. The product also works as an exfoliate and helps tightens the pores which leaves the skin looking clearer and glowy. It is a low pH bubble cleanser that uses Green Tea as one of its main ingredients.
Why Green Tea?
Green Tea contains antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties which are effective for treating acne and oily skin. Green tea is also rich in epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG) which is a polyphenol that helps to reduce sebum secretion and can improve acne.
How to Use:
Step 1: Apply the product to a dry face and wait until the product foams up. Allow 3 minutes for the cleanser to dissolve blackheads, whiteheads and any impurities.
Step 2: Wet hands and then begin to rub the product as you normally would with a cleanser. This should take about 1 minute, cleanse to remove blackheads with the green tea scrubs and bubbles.
Step 3: Close the pores by soothing with the green tea and tannin complex. Then rinse off with lukewarm water!
The texture of this product can initially be described as gel like, but after applying to the face it bubbles/foams up. The cleanser contains Konjac Granules which gently work to exfoliate the skin as well as green tea leaves which can help create a dewy/glowing complexion.
Personally I haven’t seen a significant difference in my blackheads at this current point in time (I have been using it for about a month now). However, this product has helped decreased the occasional pimples I get now and then and has helped treat my oily t-zone (I have combination skin!). I have felt that my skin has been looking very glowy and brighter which has surprised me! I also like how this product has 3 steps and this makes me feel like I’m really cleaning my skin. I am overall quite impressed with the cleanser and as it has helped with keeping my pimples away I think I will definitely repurchase in the future.
I would definitely recommend this cleanser to any skin type, especially those who have combination/oily acne prone skin. Although I have semi sensitive skin the product did not seem to dry out my skin or cause a reaction, which was a plus for me 🤩. Green tea is also said to be a good ingredient for sensitive skin, however if you do know that you are allergic or have had previous reactions to green tea products I do not recommend as this cleanser contains 240,000ppm of real green tea!
I hope you are all well and will continue to stay healthy as we get through this tough times for good! 💖 Thank you for reading my review ☺️
- Some reactions to a new skincare product could be caused by the purpose of purging (skin getting used to the new ingredients introduced), but inflammation is not a purging symptom. We recommend stop suing a product when it creates redness or rashes.
- It definitely does help with clearing out the pores! You will need to be more patient with pore size reduction, but cleaning out the pores daily is the first step of reducing the appearance of pores.
- Yes, it is safe to use daily. If you have extremely sensitive skin, we recommend you wash off the product soon after applying it like your normal cleanser. You can do the 5min process once every three days for a deeper cleanse.
I want to ask, can i use it as a daily cleanser?
I want to order… does it really help with blackheads
i have used it for a weeks now but everytime i apply it to my skin, it feels hot. is it okay to continue using it?
