HI-REVIEW: Peripera Summer Lips Recommendation ☀️

Hi Beauties 😎💕

Hope everyone's enjoying the sunshine and beaches, making the most of NZ's beautiful summer time! Coming up to early February, it seems like we're all coming back to our normal routines, getting out of the midsummer night's dream 🌙

Before we start school, get back to uni and work, let's all head to the nearest beach and have a blast wrap up of this summer leaving no regrets what-so-ever! 🙌🏻

To get your finest summer vibe out there, you'll have to finish off with a smile that will brighten you up the best 💋

The Peripera Ink Airy Velvet Lip Tints are my absolute favourite tints when it comes to "long-lasting" and "soft finish". Personally, I've got SUPER dry lips that never work out with matte lipsticks, which are actually what I prefer.. Glowly lips are just not my thing especially when I go out to the beach - the wind blows, so does your hair, next minute you're eating on your own hair. Urgh.

For the Airy Velvet line from Peripera, they definitely mean it when they say "airy". It has the lightest finish that you can ask for a lip product and it has a finish that sticks straight onto your lips to become one, without drying them out.

So from my favourite lip collection, I've picked out a few colours that'll go perfectly with this summer! 🌞🌞🌞 No matter of your skin tone, whether it may be cool or warm, these six shades will turn on the light switch on the whole look ✨

  • Peripera Ink Airy Velvet [#01 Heart Grapefruit]
  • Peripera Ink Airy Velvet [#02 Pinkish Grapefruit]
  • Peripera Ink Airy Velvet [#04 Beautiful Coral Pink]
  • Peripera Ink Airy Velvet [#11 Pretty Orange Pink]
  • Peripera Ink Airy Velvet [#12 Bloomy Orange]
  • Peripera Ink Airy Velvet [#13 Apricot Coral]

Without further ado, should we have a look at the sachets for these lovely shades? 😍

*Please note that the lip sachets were taken on different days with different lightings, meaning the colours may differ from the actual colours of each lip tint. If you could all take these sachets as a simple reference, would be much appreciated! 💕

This is the sachet of the six different shades following the order of #01 - #02 - #04 - #11 - #12 - #13 in indoor lighting. Instantly you can feel the summer-spring aura spreading out from these gleaming, vibrant colours! 🙈

And here are the same shades in natural lighting! Definitely a different look compared to indoors 🤔

The only reason why I would think twice before purchasing a Peripera lip tint, was because they used to stain your lips PINK, whatever colour you apply. It may be a red, orange, pink, plum shade when applied in the morning, but it ended up to be pink at the end of the day 😫

BUT HOLD ON, not anymore! Here you can see the stains of each shade has been left in the exact colours they have been before! A big round of applause for Peripera!!!

▲ Peripera Ink Airy Velvet [#01 Heart Grapefruit]

This shade has a definite mix of orange+pink+red once applied! (I know it only looks pink in the photo, but really it has an orange tinge 😂)  You can see the 'grapefruit' colour in there with the right mixes of colours. Will fit well for most skin tones, when applied blended out (photo on left), and seems like a 'cool tone' kinda shade when applied full-lip (photo on right). Out of the six, looked like the most reddish shade for me!

▲ Peripera Ink Airy Velvet [#02 Pinkish Grapefruit]

Quite similar to [#01 Heart Grapefruit] but when about 30% more pink to it! It's a bit more of a softer colour and less vibrant, for when you think the bright red is too much for your look on the day 😉 I would call it a 'spring' colour compared to #01.

▲ Peripera Ink Airy Velvet [#04 Beautiful Coral Pink]

Attention all 'cool toned skin' beauties!! This one is a definite light switch for you, the moment you put it on! For those who have more of a yellow-base skin, might want to use this one on the insides of your lips and blend it out with a more subtle pink or a red 👌🏻

▲ Peripera Ink Airy Velvet [#11 Pretty Orange Pink]

From Peripera's more recent 'spring edition' shades, this one here was their main colour to put out front! I can defs see why 😍 It's a one that anyone could easily use without hesitation. Pink red + Coral would be my impression for #11.

▲ Peripera Ink Airy Velvet [#12 Bloomy Orange]

To be honest, I'm a big orange-fan when it comes to lip shades. Yet, for someone who wants to avoid an orange that's too out-there or too bright, one of my best recommendations. Although it might look a bit scary and bright by itself, when applied onto my natural lip colour, it toned down to a mandarine-type of soft orange. For someone who might have a lighter natural lip shade, it would be closer to the colour of a carrot - mind my lip shade comparisons to fruit & veg 😂 I see no better ways to explain

▲ Peripera Ink Airy Velvet [#13 Apricot Coral]

A lovely coral shade that'll go best with a strong application of a baby-pink shade blusher! Actually one of my fav looks when it comes to less eye make-up and a big emphasize on the cheeks. A subtle coral shade like this one will blend in nicely as if you have pinky lips naturally 😘 A tad pinkish than #12 above!

With my lack of photography & getting the exact colours on camera, I've tried my best to tell y'all what each shades are like! Hope I got something across at the least 🙃

Well, here's my recommendation + review on the Summer Lips for the Peripera Ink Airy Velvet Lip Tints! Before summer starts to scatter off from our hands, let enjoy every last bit of it 💕

Wow you just described my frustration, I have not been able to find an actual orange stain. All stains I’ve purchased that claim to be orange are bright pink. I just purchased bloomy orange and cannot wait to have an orange stain, I also purchased inkrush orange it has been a long road trying to track down an orange lip tint and I hope my search is over!
