HI-REVIEW: NEOGEN Bio-Peel Gauze Peeling
Hi Beauties 💗
Today I’m doing a little review on the NEOGEN Bio-Peel Gauze Peeling in Lemon 🍋, Green Tea 🌱 and Wine 🍷! I was initially kinda hesitant to try them out because I found the name ‘gauze peeling’ a little intimidating (I have very sensitive skin) HOWEVER! After trying out these babies for a month, they’ve changed my mind completely and I don’t think I can go without them anymore
So without further ado, here are my some of my thoughts and tips! 😍

Price: $14 Quantity: 8pads |
How to use:
After cleansing, slip your fingers into the sleeve of the gauze peeling wine pad so that the criss-crossed gauze side is facing down. Use gentle, circular motions all over a dry face and neck, working your way up to your forehead.
Next, rotate the pad so that the gauze side is facing up and the soft, quilted side is facing down. Swipe the softer side across the face to pick up the remaining debris. Throw away the pad. Rinse with lukewarm water.
Follow with the remaining steps of your skin care routine. Use twice a week or as needed.
Product overview
One of the reasons why I really like these pads is that there are three layers in each pad: a rough but not too harsh gauze layer which is good for physically removing dead skin cells and debris; a middle layer soaked up with A LOT of essence; and a soft quilted layer for the final round of cleaning and hydrate the skin. The three layer design is very unique and combines exfoliation, cleansing and hydration into one single pad.
Apart from physically exfoliating the skin, these pads also contain chemical exfoliants such as lactic acid and glycolic acid which deeply penetrate into the skin and dissolve dirt and oil in the pores.
Overall, all three pads (green tea, lemon and wine) help to achieve smoother, clearer and healthier skin! However, they do have some different effects on top of that! Let me break down the differences for you!
NEOGEN Bio Peel Gauze Green Tea pads 🌱
Just like its name suggests, these pads contain green tea extract which is a powerful antioxidant and has anti-inflammatory properties. It also contains tea tree oil for antibacterial purposes. It feels very soothing, refreshing and hydrating on the skin. I would recommend the green tea pads to Beauties with breakouts, irritations or redness and those who are looking for an all-over hydration and refresh.
NEOGEN Bio Peel Gauze Lemon pads 🍋
The key ingredients of the lemon pads include lemon, orange and papaya extracts which are abundant sources of vitamin C. As you may know already, Vit C is an amazing ingredient for brightening and reducing hyperpigmentation. Therefore I would highly recommend this one for Beauties who have discoloration and scarring, and those who want brighter and more radiant skin!
NEOGEN Bio Peel Gauze Wine pads 🍷
On top of glycolic acid and lactic acid, the wine pads also have natural occurring AHA from the wine extract to help with exfoliation. Wine is also a powerful antioxidant as it contains resveratrol, which helps fight free radicals to prevent the formation of wrinkles and fine lines. Therefore I would recommend them to Beauties who are looking for nourishing, firming and anti-aging benefits! And they smell just like grapes which a bonus 😍
Personal opinions and tips!
I’ve always considered exfoliating one of the most important steps of my skincare routine. But since I have very sensitive skin, I’ve had a hard time finding an exfoliator that does its job but won't cause me any irritations. I’ve really enjoyed using all three NEOGEN pads as they work to remove any dry flakes/patches on the skin, makes the face feel softer instantly and I have observed improvements in my skin texture. It also helps to reduce the amount of breakouts I get! And most importantly, it is not irritating or hard on my skin at all. So far I haven't seen really obvious changes in my skin tone and hyperpigmentation, but I will keep using the product for a longer time for better results.
I would recommend using the product twice a week, but you can use it a bit more often if your skin is less sensitive or have more congested skin to maximise the effects.
Lastly, as I mentioned before, the pads are actually quite big and come with a lot of essence. A little trick could be to cut one pad in half to maximise the use and it would be easier to work with too! Depending on your skin condition and how much exfoliation you want, you can always control the amount of force you apply with the pads. You can also use the pads on the other parts of the body such as the neck and elbows to reduce any skin texture!
