HI-REVIEW: Mizon Snail Intensive Repair Ampoule

2 comments by Hazel Sarcilla

Hi Beauties! How are you all doing?

I had the worst breakouts these past few months and now I’m on my post acne stage where I just have dark spots and scarring everywhere that’s healing quite quick actually. Other than my calming toner and moisturizer, Mizon’s Snail Intensive Repair Ampoule has been a great help with my post acne stage which I’ll be reviewing on today’s blog.

Price: $56NZD

Quantity: 30ml

Product Description: Regenerate your skin, the same way snails regenerate their own shell.

How to Use: After toner, drop a small amount of the product and apply to your skin. Tap into the whole face for faster absorption.

KEY FEATURES

This is a multi functional product that has high concentrations of snail extracts that hydrates, moisturizes, and restores damaged skin. Other than snail extract, it contains:

  • Adenosine: known for its anti-wrinkle, skin-smoothing, and soothing benefits.
  • Barberry Root: prevents skin troubles and helps to remove acne scars.
  • Hyaluronic Acid: provides moisture, keeping the skin hydrated for a longer time.

Overall, it’s a total repair care product that’s packed with moisturizing, revitalizing, and anti- aging ingredients to help and/or keep your skin healthy. Unless your allergic to snail extract itself, the product formula is free of colouring, fragrance, and paraben which makes it also safe to use for sensitive skin.

PERSONAL EXPERIENCE

Mizon is a popular Korean skincare brand because of their snail mucin line for years. I had tried their famous All in One Snail Repair Cream years ago and I only had positive thoughts about it.🥰  So when I found out that they also have an ampoule version, my mind was already set to testing it out.

The product is smaller compared to my other ampoules and serums that it kinda looks cute to me.😆 I love that its in a glass bottle and also has a cute dropper.

The texture is thick and elastic because of the rich snail secretion and extract concentration. However, it does not feel sticky at all and absorbs quickly! I do have an oily-combo skin so its feels good to have a product that makes you look like a sticky, over-glazed donut. It does not have a scent too!

I use a drop of this product every morning and evening after my toner. Yes, I believe that one drop should be enough to cover up my whole face and neck. Some noticeable changes are that it helps calm my angry pimple that hasn’t popped yet which makes it less painful and annoying for me.😆 But most importantly, it helped with healing my acne scars and dark spots really quick! They look less flaky and less dark now and I’m really happy about it because you know how acne spots and scars can make makeup application tedious. For its anti-wrinkle claims, I can’t say because I don’t have wrinkles or fine lines yet and I believe that it would take months for anti-wrinkle products work and to see if there’s any significant changes.

I personally recommend this to every skin type unless you are allergic to snail mucin. It’s a great addition to your skincare routine because it’s a multi-purpose product, non-sticky and does not contain fragrances, artificial colouring and parabens. I really helped with my skin regeneration much faster.

Thank you for reading and I hope you all a wonderful day!💕

    Hi K!

For skin calming products, you might want to look into the ingredient list and search for the greens like centella, tea tree, and mugwort. At HIKOCO, we’ve got a whole range of these under ‘Collections’ – ‘Skin Concerns’ – ‘Redness’ / ‘Sensitive’.

This is really great! My skin is also going through an angry phase so hopefully this would help me. Any chance of hearing what other calming products you use or would recommend?
