HI-REVIEW: INNISFREE Green Tea Sleeping Mask

by HIKOCO New Zealand

Hello Beauties,

Today I’ll be reviewing the green tea sleeping mask by Innisfree.

This sleeping mask will leave you feeling fresh whilst moisturised and looking brighter.

So here is my in-depth review of Innisfree green tea sleeping mask.

Product Information :

The description on the packaging says:
“Enriched with freshly double-squeezed green tea from the Jeju island to deliver abundant moisture and nourishment deep into your skin.”

Jeju Island is known for their beach resorts and volcanic landscapes of craters and cavelike lava tubes but also contains an abundant amount of plant life. Jeju is also a very natural unpolluted environment. Innisfree is an eco-friendly brand that focuses on natural ingredients that come from Jeju such as their organic, fresh green tea which is used in their green tea skincare line.

This sleeping pack which contains organic Jeju fresh green tea helps to keep your skin moisturised and clear while you’re asleep! It also utilises the Dual Moisture-Rising Technology™ which derives from organic green tea and green tea seed oil. This sub acidic sleeping mask is infused with an enzyme derived from green tea to give the skin a supple and healthy condition. The green tea extracted from fresh green tea leaves harvested from Jeju island is rich in amino acids and minerals that help to keep your skin moisturised.Seed oil preserves moisture underneath the skin for an extended period to prevent it from drying. The old green tea sleeping pack (slightly different from the sleeping mask)contained nutrition capsules, filled with natural, provide antioxidants to your skin and quickly brighten the skin tone. Although that doesn’t mean the new sleeping mask doesn't do that! Instead of the little capsules, it has been thoroughly distributed throughout the whole product!

This product line is suggested to dry skin people but I believe it is great for all skin types! This product claim to be free from parabens, mineral oil, synthetic colourants and imidazolidinyl urea.

My Experience with Innisfree Green Tea Sleeping Mask

This product comes in a box made from recycled paper and a plastic jar printed in soy ink, which is the standard for all skincare products due to their commitment of preserving and protecting nature. Not only is soy ink cheaper but its renewable, biodegradable and easy to remove when recycling the packaging.

This product line mentions that it’s for dry skin beauties, but here’s the good news! It’s suitable for oily, combination and sensitive skin types too. I say this because I go through many phases of dry, oily combination and sensitive too, due to weather and season change. It is great for oily skin because it doesn’t clog up the pores/make you break out or feel heavy. The consistency is creamy but doesn’t feel heavy to me at all! I find it quite lightweight for a cream and leans more to a gel texture rather than a thick cream when you smooth it out.It absorbs very quickly and leaves a soft, plump moist layer over my skin without feeling tacky.

The scent is very similar to all of the green tea skincare line from Innisfree and I’m absolutely in love with it! It’s fresh and mild but not overpowering or artificial.I do find that the scent isn’t as strong as the green tea seed cream though.I’ve been using this product for about a week and I’ve realised that its made my skin look much more clearer and fresh! It amazes me how calmed down and refreshed my face looks now. My skin also feels very smooth, soft, supple and bouncy. It really does help to retain moisture in your skin for a long period of time.

You probably are wondering if it’s really necessary to use in your evening routine because it’s quite similar to a moisturiser. However I find that sleeping masks tend to be a bit more potent, nourishing and effecting in restoring my skin back into its normal state. Sleeping packs are designed to provide a more intense and deeper hydration (Butylene Glycol and Glycerin) to the skin during the night than your regular cream.

At night your skin is able to rest and absorb more nutrients that you provide but it also is a time where you can lose a lot of moisture when you neglect it. This green tea sleeping mask is super effective at retaining moisture in my skin until the morning and I wake up feeling hydrated and fresh!

This has got to be my favourite sleeping mask and I can’t wait to try more sleeping masks!

This is definitely a must try and buy! I’ve already recommended this to many friends and family and they absolutely love it. Another great bonus is that it’s on special and is such an affordable price!
