How to Use: Apply generously to the skin 20 minutes before skin exposure, then reapply every 2 hours, and after swimming or sweating.

If you’ve done any searching at all about reducing dark marks from your skin, you’ve probably come across people recommending products containing Vitamin C. Vit C is an antioxidant that helps to combat free radicals (toxins) that can come into contact with your skin from external sources, such as UV rays and air pollution. It also helps protect your skin from the inside-out, assisting in fighting toxins that might be produced by your body. Free radicals break down your skin’s collagen and are responsible for all those annoying skin issues, like dark spots, fine lines, blemishes and sagging skin. So when applying Vit C to the skin, you’re essentially giving your skin the tools it needs to prevent and protect against all these troubles.

On top of containing all that skin-loving Vit C, this Sun Serum is also an SPF with an SPF50+ rating, and a PA rating of PA++++. This means whilst it’s helping heal your skin, it’s also protecting it from both UVA and UVB rays!

Personal Opinion

I have been on the lookout for a good quality Vit C serum for YEARS as I’m very picky, and this one definitely did not disappoint. Off the bat, the packaging is really nice. I get really annoyed with standard SPF products, as they always seem to leak and are super messy, but thanks to this pump top it’s really easy to control how much you dispense. It also doesn’t leak at all which I love!

The other thing I love about this Sun Serum is that it actually does what it claims to do. I’ve been struggling with a few dark spots on my cheeks for MONTHS, and I've tried everything from retinols, caffeine solutions and licorice root extract to try and get rid of them, but they just wouldn’t budge. I’ve been using this product almost every day for nearly a month now, and I've noticed the smaller dark spots have completely vanished, and the bigger ones are getting a lot smaller!

The Sun Serum itself has a very faint sunscreen smell and contains tiny little beads that completely dissolve when rubbed into the skin. It absorbs fairly quickly and has a slightly tacky finish. The only thing that annoys me about this product is that it easily pills, which makes it a little tricky to apply skincare on top of. However I've found that the longer I leave this to absorb in before applying any makeup, the less it pills. So for me this isn’t really a deal breaker.

Overall, I really love this Sun Serum and the fact that it brightens and protects at the same time is a win in my opinion. So if you’re looking to finally reduce those dark marks, definitely give this one a try!
