HI-REVIEW: Goodal Green Tangerine Vita-C Dark Spot Care Cream
If you’re looking for a product with a powerful dose of vitamin C that is also gentle enough for those with even sensitive skin to use morning and night, this Goodal cream might be for you!
Price: $37
Quantity: 75ml
How to use:
At the last step of your skincare routine, gently apply an appropriate amount to the face and neck.
Product Features
This cream is an upgraded version of the previous vita-C cream, and is made of 67% Jeju green tangerine extract, up from 62% in the previous version. It also has double the amount of niacinamide, also known as vitamin B3 which boosts collagen, brightens and improves skin texture.
The cream uses vitamin C derivatives rather than active/pure vitamin C (ascorbic acid). I did a little research and it turns out ascorbic acid is not tolerated on all skin types due to its low pH. Vitamin C derivatives on the other hand, are more stable, easily absorbed and better suited to those with sensitive skin.
Goodal also has a strong sustainability focus, with this reflected in their packaging but also their innovative technology, featuring a new extraction method called air bubble brewing. In this process extraction is done through air bubbles and brewed at a low temperature of 25°C for 120 hours. Compared to their previous method of fresh brewing, energy consumption is reduced by 21% and CO2 emission by 20%.
Personal Experience
I love the idea of revitalising my skin with vitamin C (I mean, how could it not be good for you right?) but the one vitamin C product I tried years ago wasn’t tolerated well by my skin and broke me out. I’ve stayed away from it since then, however I was interested to give this cream a go as I’d read about it being gentle enough to use twice daily even on sensitive skin.
I’ve been using this cream twice a day for coming up to a month now and my skin has tolerated it incredibly well, in fact I’ve not experienced any irritation. I didn’t know why this vitamin C cream was different for me until I found out the difference between vitamin C derivatives and ascorbic acid when doing my research for this blog!
The vitamin C is encased in these tiny ‘vita capsules’, these little orange beads which burst upon contact with your skin, releasing a citrusy scent. These are probably my favourite thing about this cream, I love the concept of a fresh burst of vitamin C and it smells lovely too. The cream has a nice texture as well, not too heavy but at the same time really moisturising.
When I used it for the first time, I actually noticed a difference the very next morning. My skin was noticeably brighter and felt smooth. I don’t think it has done a lot for my dark spots or acne scars yet, although I’ve read if you use it in combination with the Vita-C serum, the difference is significantly more effective. Almost a month on, I’ve been more confident heading out with just some blush and lip tint as I feel like when my skin is brighter I just don’t need much else on my skin.
Big thumbs up for this moisturiser, and I’d recommend it if you have sensitive skin but would like to incorporate some vitamin C into your skincare routine.

Thanks for reading xx
I loved the old Vita C cream intense, which looked like a noodle when squeezed out. I find the new cream isn’t as rich as the old one and I need to apply something after to get the same sense of hydration. Have you any recs for something similar to the old cream? I loved the citrus scent, I’m hoping to find another product/cream with a similar scent profile and hydration.
Hi Michelle,
Yes! The cream is gel-based so it won’t feel heavy or greasy on combination-oily skin types :)
Hope this helps. Thanks!
Hi! Thank you for the review! Would it be suitable for someone with combination – oily skin? Thank you!
