HI-REVIEW: Benton Snail Bee Ultimate Hydrogel Eye Patch

by Zoey Lim

안녕 Beauties 🐌

How is everyone’s summer going? Just a little reminder to treat your skin extra well during this hot weather 🌞 HIKOCO has recently brought in a new addition to our eye patch range, and that is the Benton Snail Bee Ultimate Hydrogel Eye Patch! Its extensive name might need some clarifying, so let’s get right into this month’s review 👇Price: $35

Quantity: 60pcs

Product description: “Snail Bee Ultimate Hydrogel Eye Patch hydrates and nourishes skin with saccharomyces/snail secretion”

How to use: After cleansing, use the spatula inside to take out the eye patch and apply to the eye areas. Remove after 10~20 minutes. (Close cap tightly after use to prevent the product from drying).I used these patches 3x a week over the course of 4 weeks, and chose to use them on days when I felt a little fatigued or whenever my skin felt like it needed extra pampering! The eye patches claim to hydrate, brighten, and nourish sensitive skin around the eye with three key ingredients - Filtrate Ferment Filtrate, Bee Venom and a combination of 3 seaweed extracts (Carrageenan, Laminaria Japonica, and Porphyra Yezoensis) 🌿

HI-FUN FACT! 💓

Because these patches are made of seaweed, it actually makes them eco-friendly as they’re fully soluble in water! 🚰 I actually experimented with this myself and was amazed by how quickly it dissolved into a milky, metallic water. I stored the liquid in a travel bottle as I’m thinking if I can possibly use it as a mist 🤔😌Packaging-wise, similar to all other eye patches i’ve used, these eye patches come in a circular plastic tub with an inner cap that retains a spatula. I like how solid and protective the packaging is - there is no doubt that your patches will be kept air-tight and fresh! ✨

The colour of the hydrogels are a metallic black with glittery bronze speckles. They’re soft, yet not too thin, and they also come in plenty of essence. Though said to be fragrance-free, it does have a mild and fresh scent which is most likely just a natural result of the formula. Let’s get more into the ingredients as Benton sure packed a whole lot of good stuff into these beautiful eye patches 🤩

  • Saccharomyces/Snail Secretion Filtrate Ferment Filtrate: Skin recovery, protecting, nourishing, firming
  • Bee Venom: Soothes skin concerns, increases blood circulation
  • Tea Tree Leaf Water: Skin soothing, cooling, astringent, oil-water balance
  • Hyaluronic Acid: For moisture and suppleness
  • Carrageenan, Porphyra Yezoensis, Chlorella Vulgaris Extract, Laminaria Japonica Extract (Seaweed Ingredients): Hydrating, nourishing, soothing, protecting, cooling, firming
  • Gold, Diamond, Pearl, Charcoal Powder: Firming, purifying, revitalising
  • Niacinamide, Adenosine: For brightening and wrinkle care

      PERSONAL THOUGHTS:

I always do enjoy a good under-eye pamper session a few times a week, and these hydrogels give me that sense of luxury because of its appearance and packaging 🧖‍♀️ In terms of performance, it has reduced any sort of puffiness because of its slight cooling effect, as well as kept the area around my eyes nice and firm (I noticed my makeup adheres better after using these eye patches in the AM!). I do think these are worth grabbing from HIKOCO as a gift/present, or even just as a lil’ treat for yourself 😘

Thanks for reading beauties, see you back here next month! Let’s be pretty 💛
