On July 22, right at midnight, YG Entertainment went live with ‘2025 YG Plan’. To our shock, here are the details he spilled…

Let’s rewind back to 2009, the year that 2NE1 debuted and subsequently blew up with their debut single ‘ Fire ’. From then on out, they became one of the top selling girl groups of their generation. These achievements of YG’s first girl group have made lasting impact - their Coachella performance was one in over six years and even with a hiatus, this performance was named one of the “the most exciting reunions in recent memory”.

It’s been two years since they’ve performed together, and four years since they’ve released even a single… but the k-pop world is all abuzz with the latest comeback news! For 2NE1’s 15th anniversary, they’re going on a world tour starting in October, taking it through 2025 too. I cannot wait how these hip hop queens will take the stage!

But the world tours don’t end at 2NE1. They may have paved the way, but Blackpink sure has made a name for themselves. Each of the members have taken time off to focus on their solo careers, but they are coming back in 2025 too! It was made official that Blackpink are reuniting for a group comeback and are launching a world tour of their own too. It might be awhile so for now, we can flash back to my favourite Coachella performance of their's, 'Typa Girl'.

But the 2025 lineup doesn’t end there… YG’s rookie girl group, Babymonster will have a world tour too! Their 'Sheesh' live show performance, was actually with a live band, as if they were holding a concert of their own. With the viral-ness of this, I know Baby Monster's world tour would simply be iconic. A creation of a new girl group, and more are to be seen next year. Can 2025 come any faster… Who else is excited to see the different generations of K-pop come together?
