...and nothing feels better than a weekend recharge by the beach! The sun bathing your skin, food so fresh it could be replanted and returned to the sea, and shopping finds that feel like a pot of gold - wishful thinking? How about a quick trip on a plane out of the country?

🤳 Sydney Opera House & Ferry Ride
If you don't get a pic with the Opera House, did you even go to Sydney? A total non-negotiable and tourist classic - rain or shine, this is a bucket list item you just can't skip! If you’re tight on time, snap your selfie on your ferry ride to Manly (more on this soon!) and kill two birds with one stone.
🏉 Brookvale
Rugby, truckbars, and beer tours - hit the suburbs for a different side of Sydney that feels a little more bogan (but really, it’s not). Grab a pre-game drink or Sunday beer with your bestie at Brookvale Union Truckbar for fun vibes, drinks and a taste of Aussie’s spirit!
🏖️ Manly Beach
If you’re a summer lover like me, prepare for your wishes to be granted! There’s no shortage of sunshine, sea breeze and golden shores here, and it’s giving North Shore… but better. Explore the weekend markets, and the treasure trove of quirky finds from local boutiques to get you stocked up for sunny days ahead.

🍪 Butter Boy HQ in Brookvale for their cookie milk on tap! Name something that sounds better than 'Iced Cookie Milk Matcha' - I'll wait.
🌊 Bondi Beach & Coogee-to-Bondi for more unreal scenes on your hot girl walk.

🍕 Pocket Pizza
Don’t wear socks because they’ll be blown off. If you’ve done your research on TikTok, you’ve probably stumbled across this place - it’s bustling with people so start booking or cross your fingers and toes! Pocket Pizza does NOT disappoint - come by for $5 Aperitivo Hour from 4pm, stay for the Funghitown Pizza.
🥙 Norma’s Deli & Butterboy
Good things come in pairs, and these two are no exception! Line up for Norma’s in Manly for your Greek Deli sandwich, then collect your sweet treat from Butter Boy on your way out! The aroma of freshly baked bread and quality deli meats has my stomach growling right now (PSA. Butter Boy is for the cookie dough lovers x).
🍦 Yo-Chi
Does this count as a tourist attraction? ‘But isn’t KiwiYo like, the same thing?’ No. Don’t disrespect Yo-Chi. It’s a different breed. It’s clean, chic, aesthetic, and makes KiwiYo look like child’s play (sorry not sorry). The quality of the froyo is smooth, not icy, and the toppings are fresh… try the cookie dough and mini mochi, I beg.

The pulse of Sydney’s shopping with international staples like Uniqlo, Muji and others galore - you don’t see these spots in New Zealand just yet, so don’t miss this! Fashion, beauty and shopping buzz that Auckland just can’t match.

🎀 Paddington boutiques for their adorable, chic and classy wardrobe faves featuring all the Aussie iconic designers!
🧥 Newton for their good ol’ treasure trove of thrift finds - will need to allocate a whole day for this on my next visit.
From poke bowls to pizza, surfing shores to shopping sprees, it’s safe to say there’s no shortage of positive energy, good vibes and Summer anticipation in Sydney - and it’s seriously addictive. This weekend was a small taste, and trust me, I’m begging for more! If you were looking for a sign, this is it: book the damn flights.
