Good vibes only? Nah. Real vibes only - cut through the noise and hear what's actually worth your time, and what to forget.
Not everything deserves your energy, and it’s not something to feel guilty about. This month is about making space for habits, moments and mindsets that actually add value to your life - instead of draining it. Not sure where to start? Here’s our no-nonsense guide to what’s in and what’s out for June.
Out with the old, in with the new:
Seasonal blues are hitting right now, and sometimes it’s the smallest things that make all the difference. Your words are powerful, a genuine compliment can make someone’s week, for free!
Notice the effort and extra lengths someone takes, whether it’s their kindness, a small detail in their outfit, or something that reminded you of them. A genuine compliment a day, keeps bad energy at bay.
Not good with words? Start here:
💭 Wish the barista or bus driver a good day
💭 Text a friend you’re thinking of them with a meme
💭 If you can't think of something, don’t force it
News flash! No one is thriving 24/7, we all have our days, and pretending otherwise is exhausting.
Stop being hard on yourself and drop the pressure to be happy or productive - while you’re perfect, you’re also human. If you’re tired, rest. Sad? Feel it.
Celebrate your wins, but leave space for your lows. Radical self-listening is cool, and the best way to avoid burn out.
Keep it real:
🫂 Don’t bottle it up! Talk to your loved ones
🫂 Take a break from social media when you feel the comparison trap
🫂 Remind yourself - it's okay to be a work in progress
Being self-aware? In, always. Plot twist… your feelings are the best life coach you’ll ever have. Tuning into your body and mind and listening to your needs is the most powerful tool you can have, and is how you will become the best version of yourself.
The key to journaling? Intention. Note down how you’re feeling physically and emotionally, track energy, notice your mood.
Over time, you'll pick up patterns - sync low-energy days with walks and gentle movement, and HIIT and runs for when you’re buzzing.
Where to start:
✍️ Keep a notebook by your bed for quick check-ins
✍️ Not a writer? Try a mood tracking app!
✍️ Consistency over perfection - don’t stress about missed days
You feel tired just thinking about it. People-pleaser or suffering from chronic FOMO, it’s okay to choose rest when you really need it and you don’t need to be everywhere, all the time.
You’ll show up better when you’re actually up for it, and real friends will understand - it comes down to communicating honestly, and considering their feelings too.
Suggest a raincheck or something more low-key, and prioritise your energy. Don’t feel guilty for recharging!
Set boundaries:
📆 Practice saying ‘maybe’ and confirming later
📆 Suggest alternatives like coffee and a walk
📆 Rest is productive! You’re allowed to rest.
Who knew your new favourite hobby would be… listening? Podcasts are a great way to learn, laugh and feel connected - without a screen. Juicy gossip, true crime, wellness or just a good laugh, there’s something there for everyone.
Swap out a scroll session a week for a podcast episode, and you’ll find yourself being more productive! It’s the perfect listen for walks and chores, or even for some nice background chatter.
Need a rec?
🎧 “Call Her Daddy” for unhinged laughs
🎧 “What’s The Juice” for health and self-growth
🎧 “Stuff You Should Know” for extra knowledge
What were the last 5 TikToks you watched? Yep, thought so. Raise your hand if you’ve ever finished a scroll session and felt… nothing. Doom scrolling is the thief of time, sleep and productivity.
Imagine what you could have done with that hour you didn’t realise had passed? Start by cutting 10 minutes off your daily scroll; 10 extra minutes of sleep, 10 more minutes to get ready, or make coffee. Your sleep - and your attention span - will thank you.
Break the habit:
🌱 Watch a movie (without your phone)
🌱 Set timers on your social apps
🌱 Replace a scroll session with a podcast or book
I had a chat with your wallet, and they asked me to have a word with you - they need a break. They’re telling me it’s a you problem, and your space agrees.
Before you buy, ask yourself, “Will I use this more than twice?” “Will it add value?” Hit pause for 24 hours before purchasing, and go for quality over quality - sometimes all you need is a breath of fresh air and some grass to curb the urge.
Intentional spending is real girl math: less clutter = rich + happy.

💸 Make a wishlist of wants and needs
💸 Support local markets and NZ businesses
💸 Save for experiences that are truly worth it
While we can’t control the weather, we can control our perspective. Constant complaining doesn’t change the weather, it drains your energy and everyone else’s.
Invest in a raincoat that's actually cute, and some comfy boots - a great intentional purchase and something you’ll actually use.
Sometimes a shift in how we see things is all it takes to turn ugh into something wholesome.
Get in the winter mood:
❄️ Plan indoor activities to look forward to
❄️ Visit a new cafe or bake something fun
❄️ Cosy up your space and enjoy the vibes
Take what works, leave the rest; self care looks different for everyone. Growth is about progress, not perfection! Here’s to a June that fuels us, and small changes that brighten up our lives even in the gloomiest days.
Keep growing, Beauties x
