5 key things you need to NAIL 2026’s biggest makeup trend yet... (p.s. it’s simpler than you think).
If you’re reading this, it’s probably because you’ve had an overwhelming influx of aesthetic tutorials with girls showing you how they did their Nina Park inspired makeup… Well, that's the case for me anyway.
Many doomscrolls, internet blackholes, Pinterest folders and a few TikTok stalks later, I can announce with 80% confidence - I think I’ve cracked the code. It’s all in the base - and not just knowing, but understanding your facial anatomy. It might sound a little anticlimactic, but really, it’s proof that anyone can do it with a little practice!
I’ve done all the dirty work, let’s share my findings:
True or false: Nothing happens before skin is prepped. TRUE - point blank period. If you’ve ever wondered why your skin never quite skins when you've got a full beat or always pills and has those little cracks on the surface like it’s the sahara desert, it’s because it’s not hydrated.
Spray it, toner it, serum it, or even apply a quick sheet mask on while you set up all your makeup and get comfy! Seal all in with your favourite moisturiser, then you’re all set to start the real stuff.
A common theme between all of these beautiful girls is that they look like how they always have - the volume’s just been amped up a notch! The aim isn’t to reshape and reconstruct your entire face; we just want to enhance what you already have (show them all you’ve got girl).
Sheer to medium coverage foundation, light contour that follows along your bone structure and some bronzer to add extra warmth to your face is essential - I noticed she loves using her fingers to tap products in to ensure it all melts in seamlessly.
Nina is a BIG fan of berry-toned blushes… good thing I am too! This is probably her most signature step: all her looks have the same cheeks that pop through the screen. How does she do it? Place your blush in the centre of your face, then diffuse up and to your temple - it helps achieve that snatched look.
Now for brows. She loves to keep them brushed and natural, but not brushed like the 2024 feather brow - just a little definition and direction will do the trick.
First, eyeshadow. It’s not loud but it’s lived in - the aim is to add a little depth and dimension (so we look camera-ready from all angles). Grab your most neutral colours and softly blend it into your upper lid, and a little along your bottom lash line.
It starts to get a little complex from here but don't fret! I'm here to guide you through this. From my understanding, it’s a black-liquid-brown-pencil eye liner remix; black along the mid lash line to open up the eye, and a softer brown to shape without completely changing your natural eyes.
She’s like the rest of us, and an absolute sucker for a brown liner lip! We want to avoid that “chocolate lips” look… if this is something you tend to teeter the line of, it’s probably because you’re either not blending enough, or going in too heavy.
Start at your cupid's bow, then trace along your upper lip, then do the same for your bottom lip - start in the middle, then connect up. For some extra dimension, shade in the corners of your lips, then blend and top with your favourite gloss!
The result? Nina Park WHO?! Glowy, sculpted and a face that still looks like you - unbeatable. It’s glam that stands out, but also doesn’t do too much that you feel like a sore thumb if you wore it as your day-to-day look.
Now for the real test… watch me attempt to recreate Nina Park’s makeup.
Thank me later, Beauties x
