Best Ingredients for Dry Skin
Hiya lovely beauties 💕
Winter recently came back and it’s starting to feel really chilly in here! My skin gets extremely dry and flaky, ruining any chance for a glowy makeup routine. When the weather turns colder and colder, our skin will naturally need more moisture. Here are 3 of my favourite ingredients that helped my skin survive the upcoming cold seasons.

Hyaluronic Acid
Im sure any skincare beauties have heard of Hyaluronic Acid. Our skin naturally contains Hyaluronic Acid, great for retaining moisture and strengthening the skin barrier. It has an amazing immediate hydration on our skin because of its ability to hold up to a thousand times it’s weight in water. This ingredient also helps restore dry skin by reducing fine lines and promotes plump skin, fantastic for anti-aging.
One of my favourite moisturizer will have to be the Hyaluronic Acid Intensive Cream from COSRX, it’s consistency is super lightweight and creamy, and works especially well for dehydrated skin.

Glycerin
Glycerin is one of the most widely used ingredient in skincare, and there is a good reason for that! Glycerin retains and preserves moisture in our skin, which is extremely helpful for dry skin in preventing moisture loss. It is a substance which not only helps attract moisture into our skin, but also helps softening and soothing dry skin to feel supple and soft. Glycerin can be found in most moisturizing skincare products, from toner to cream.
I recommend checking out my current go-to moisturizer, the Round Lab Dokdo Lotion (for more info, check out my review!). It is easily absorbed, non-oily and is great for sensitive, acne-prone skin!

Ceramide
Our skin does naturally contain Ceramides, but the levels decreases as we age. Just like Glycerin and Hyaluronic Acid, Ceramides in your skincare products will help to attract and retain moisture to it, as well as protecting the skin barrier. In terms of anti-aging, the more hydrated your skin is, the more youthful it will look. This ingredient is also great for maintaining the skin’s suppleness, keeping the skin looking younger, nourished and hydrated.
Some of the best creams out there contains Ceramides, however my personal recommendation is the COSRX Balancium Ceramide Cream. This balm-like moisturizer doesn’t feel heavy for day or night, and is perfectly hydrating for dry skin, even works amazing for sensitive skin.

These are the 3 biggest ingredients you should look out for dry skin. The cold weather is extremely drying and harsh on sensitive skin, so make sure to lather on as much protection you can! A properly hydrated skin not only looks amazing, but is strong and healthy, the key ingredient to youthfulness. That’s all from me today beauties, remember to stay safe and stay extra warm!

New customer here and in need of desperate help with my skin. I always use good skin care but after I had a semi thyroidectomy done on 16 June this year , my skin is normally dry but it has been flaking, red and very dry all over but more so on my T-junction area and also fine wrinkles lines on my forehead and between my eyes and also under my chin I get a rash now and again. I’m 51 yr old female. I’m not sure if the products I’m using is wrong but I can’t seem to get my skin back to normal.
I would love my first shop to include the products I need to get my skin under control and let me know how long I need to do this before introducing to another skin routine for older skin to reduce wrinkles once it’s healed up.
I sent it via your information email but have not yet got a reply.
Regards,
Marceline

Hi. I want to know which product is perfect for me. I am 40 and have dry, sensitive skin. I want a hydrating cream, not an oily one because small pimples will appear on my face whenever I use a moisturizing cream that contains oil.
