HI-REVIEW: Some By Mi AHA BHA PHA 30 Days Miracle Toner

Hi Beauties! 🌸

The Some By Mi AHA BHA PHA 30 Days Miracle Toner has been one of HIKOCO's bestsellers for a long time and I’ve been using this for almost a year! It claims to change and improve your skin in 30 days, is that true? Well, as a senior Miracle Toner user, I am here to tell you my experience

Quantity: 150ml

Product Description: “A slightly acidic toner (pH 5.5) that calms the alkalized skin after cleansing improves the pH balance of the skin to prevent trouble and maintain healthy skin.”

How to Use: After cleansing, apply the toner on your face (and neck) using cotton pads to complete the cleansing of the skin.

Precautions: Because some of the ingredients in this toner is sun sensitive, you must wear sunscreen during the day!!

Since high school, I have been struggling with sensitive, dry skin AND acne. Although my acne is not as severe as before, I still have scars and occasional break outs. It is incredibly difficult to find toners for acne-prone skin that suits dry skin as well. This toner definitely saved my skin and here is how it worked!

The Miracle Toner contains three main ingredient that helped my skin, and they are AHA, BHA and PHA. These chemical exfoliants helps repair and improve trouble skin, effectively leaving skin feeling clear, calm and happy! AHA removes dead skin cells, while BHA removes sebum from your pores. PHA is similar to AHA, but it also retains the moisture in your skin.

There are also other ingredients included in this toner! There is tea tree that helps with preventing acne, as well as niacinamide that helps with hydration and repairing skin’s health. Other than that, there is also witchhazel, papaya, lentil soy seed and lotus extracts. They help calm, soothe any irritations; brighten skin tone; nourish and protect your skin.

The toner is clear that look’s just like water, consistency wise, it’s also like water💧(don’t worry it’s not!). It does not have a fancy or floral scent like most toners. Instead, it has a minty, soothing and kind of medicinal clean smell to it. Which I really like! Using this toner, it does not irritate my skin at all. It leaves my skin feeling hydrated and calm, even when I have very sensitive dry skin.

Thoughts :

After using the Miracle Toner for almost a year, it helped reduce my acne and I don’t break out anymore (unless it’s hormonal 🙄). My acne scars are not as severe, and my skin texture is smooth and soft! Although they claim to magically renew your skin in 30 days, that unfortunately did not work on me. The results really kicked in after 2 to 3 months, so don’t lose hope my skin sisters out there 💪!!

I really recommend this toner to beauties who are struggling with acne and has sensitive skin. It does a lot while being very gentle and protective to your skin. Other than that, I believe it can work on both dry or oily skin type. However, if you have perfectly normal skin, I don’t think you need this toner at all! There are other milder toners that can still help you achieve that clear, glowy skin 👌 .

Thanks for reading my rambles and I hope it helped give you more insight on the ever popular toner!

Stay gorgeous 🌸 Till next time~

    Hi Iylia,

We wouldn’t recommend using mandelic acid if you already are using the Some by Mi toner in the morning and vitamin C in the evening. These ingredients are all forms of acids which we would suggest not to combine together in your skincare routine. It’s also important not to use too many products that contain these ingredients to prevent irritation.

    Hope this helps. Thanks!

    Hi there!

I am using this toner daily in the AM with and the Pyunkang Yul essence toner in the PM. I also use vitamin C in the PM everyday. I have been using this routine for nearly 3 months. I was thinking of starting to use mandelic acid but I am wondering if this would be overkill? If I can use it, I’m not sure which step in my routine in should be incorporated. Do you have any advice?

    Hi everyone!

    - Small percentage of AHA & BHAs are safe to use during pregnancy, but we do not recommend excessive use just to be safe!

    - Using the cotton pads helps with the physical exfoliating along with the chemical exfoliation that the product provides. If you want the maximal results, we would recommend applying the product with cotton pads. Yet, if you have sensitive skin using your hands should deliver some exfoliation you need as well!

Would it still be as effective if you use hands instead of cotton pads?
