HI-REVIEW: Pyunkang Yul Brightening Vita Toner

by Vanessa Catterson

Want to start incorporating pure Vitamin C but don’t know where to start? You’re at the right place! If anyone has been reading my recent HI-REVIEWs, you  know I’m on a journey to improve my acne scarring, alongside my dull skin. I wanted to find a toner that was suitable for my morning routine and so here is my latest discovery, the Pyunkang Yul Brightening Vita Toner

Product Features

Price: $28

Quantity: 150ml

How to use:

  1. Dispense an appropriate amount in the palm of your hand and press gently to help your skin absorb the formula.
  2. Alternatively, dispense onto a cotton pad and gently sweep across your face
  3. If your skin feels hot, soak a thin cotton pad sufficiently and use it as a skin pack for additional moisture.

The primary ingredients are niacinamide, pearl extract and panthenol ✨ If you enjoy having numerous benefits from a single product (like me), I genuinely think this toner is such a game changer. It really makes my routine so much simpler!

Niacinamide helps brighten and reduce hyperpigmentation, alongside boosting the effects of ascorbic acid. This toner is also infused with panthenol to improve your skin barrier while keeping the skin moisturised. A gentle toner that brightens and hydrates the skin - just what I need.

Another key feature would be anti-aging! Not only does pearl extract lift dullness but it helps with skin cell regeneration to achieve that smooth, elastic skin. Pearl extract is an antioxidant, meaning it helps to protect the skin from free radicals, and environmental aggressors such as UV and pollution!

Personal Review

One thing I noticed right away was how light this toner really is. Usually, products just sit on my skin, but not this one! I’ve never had something absorb so quickly. My skin instantly felt extremely hydrated and overall very radiant.

At first I was a little bit worried about these ingredients as they each offer different benefits. Usually my skin would panic and break out, but these ingredients have turned out to be extremely compatible with my skin type.

As someone with combination and sensitive skin, I wasn’t sure how my skin would react to the ascorbic acid so I had never even thought of touching pure vitamin c before. But because this toner has a very low percentage of ascorbic acid, it’s perfect for us pure vitamin C beginners. I was surprised to see this toner did wonders for my dull skin!

Not only did niacinamide help to brighten my skin, it helped with my oiliness too. I sometimes have extra oily skin and it becomes hard finding a skincare routine that won't cause my makeup to look cakey or smudge throughout the day. Niacinamide helped so much in preventing excess sebum that my makeup actually sits a lot better and lasts longer!

Overall, I loved how refreshing the consistency is, allowing my skin to drink it up like water. My skin glows more and more everyday - the results definitely don’t go unnoticed. This toner is seriously amazing at brightening my skin from within!!
