HI-REVIEW: iUNIK Propolis Vitamin Synergy Serum

I love cold, and chilly times like this because I  enjoy snuggling down on my bed and binge Netflix while I drink a cup of hot chocolate.🥰 Anyways, today I’ll be reviewing iUNIK’s Propolis Vitamin Synergy Serum. I tried their Tea Tree Relief Serum and I love it so when I  got the chance to try another serum of theirs, I already had high expectations.😆

Key Features

This beautiful serum contains 70% Propolis Extract which has been used in traditional medicine for thousands of years because of its antiviral and antibacterial properties. If you are into skincare, you probably had seen this ingredient in so many skincare products for the purpose of calming, protecting, and nourishing sensitive skin. 

The serum also has 12% Hippophae Rhamnoides Fruit Extract, also know as Sea Buckthorn fruit. High on animo acids, minerals, and vitamins especially Vitamin C, which helps with clearing and brightening skin. 

Then other ingredients like pomegranate, mulberry, fig, and gingko are also rich in nutrients to protect the skin and antioxidants which reduces skin damage, pigmentation, and inflammation caused by UV rays. 

Overall, this serum calms, nourishes, revitalizes, brightens, and even claims to improve the appearance of wrinkles. 

Personal Experience

Like most of the serums in the market, the iUNIK Propolis Vitamin Synergy Serum is packaged in dropper bottles however, this serum contains more product compared to the other serums that I have. This serum is 50ml while the rest are between 30ml – 40ml which means you get more product and its also affordable! 

In terms of texture, its a bit watery which I love because it absorbs quickly onto the skin without any stickiness or pilling. This serum works amazingly on its own or as a starter serum. I often layer my serums according to my specific needs and I use this first before my other potent/strong serums just to prep my skin although I also use it on its own when I’m in a rush. It does have a hint of honey scent but it's really mild.

This month had been stressful for me and along with my period, I had a bad breakout which I had not have in months, so I’m really expecting this serum to help my skin. I have been using this serum twice a day (morning & evening) after cleansing and toning for almost a month, I noticed that it helped with calming my itchy and angry skin and brightening my acne scars much quicker than before. I love how glowing yet not feel sticky every time I used this. It did not pill when I layer it with my other serums and I did not feel any irritation. I cannot say much about its anti-ageing benefits because I don’t think I have noticeable or existing wrinkles that needs to be treated and I believe that it takes months to see the difference when you use anti-ageing products. 

Overall, I really enjoyed using this product and I think that this is great for all skin types. It has many amazing benefits that you can use this serum on its own if you want your daily dose of nutrients. Although I’ve used other serums along with this often, I do believe that it did its job with the calming and the brightening aspect. Its also affordable and bigger compared to other serums. However, if you want to tackle a specific skin concern like wrinkles or acne, I think that you should might need to incorporate other products because the serum might not be strong enough to solve other skin concerns.
