Heya Beauties~

Who here uses eye cream? After never having used eye cream in the past, I finally have joined the club! Personally, I never thought it would be a necessity for me. Okay, so the ingredients list is a long one - but let’s break it down!

Of course, we have to start off by talking about the Propolis extract (which is included at a solid 40.5%)! Propolis is a compound that bees produce - it contains a mixture of bee saliva, beeswax, and substances from plants/trees or other botanical sources. Bees use this magical material to seal, protect and sterilize their beloved beehives. Hence, in skincare propolis will do the same thing for our skin - protecting, soothing, nourishing and strengthening our skin barrier! It contains a bunch of goodies such as vital vitamins, amino acids, and flavonoids. In my opinion, propolis is such an underrated ingredient and actually one of my favourites.

Hippophae Rhamnoides Fruit Extract (0.2%) - aka Sea Buckthorn - another one of my favourite ingredients! Fun fact, sea buckthorn berries contain 12 times more vitamin C than oranges! Chock-full with Vitamin A, B1, B2, and E - these have potent antioxidant and nourishing effects - which can effectively help with sagging and dull skin.

Not surprisingly, our favorite multitasking gal Niacinamide makes an appearance and she is well-loved for her antioxidant, oil-balancing and brightening properties.

Various weights of hyaluronic acid and the mighty beta-glucan will plump up the skin full of moisture which is definitely what we want to see in an eye cream. It is also full of some great anti-aging ingredients such as rice ferment, ginseng root ferment and peptides (e.g. copper tripeptide) - which will all help with skin elasticity, vitality and firmness.

Personal thoughts

Affordable, visible results, clean and cruelty free? We stan this eye cream! Other than this cream containing ALLL of my favourite ingredients, the formula and texture is so pleasing to use. I actually now use this as my day and night moisturiser because of how much it suits my skin. I have seen my skin texture, tone and overall appearance improve for sure. Since I am using it all over my face, I have been concentrating it around my smile lines and areas around my mouth where I have visible creases. I especially take time to massage it into these places because these are my areas of concern.

I definitely do see a difference when I use this cream vs on days I don’t - especially for the mouth area! For me that area is usually very dry and flaky. I have tried so many different things because my makeup always cakes around there. But when using this cream my makeup goes on a lot smoother!

I don’t have any wrinkles or sagging skin yet, so unfortunately I am unable to say if this will help with/reduce the appearance of those. Otherwise, overall my face is definitely less dull, more radiant and alive-looking! My smile lines aren’t as obvious as before and my skin feels and looks so much healthier. I also love that this cream is gentle and a little really does go a long way.

All in all, I think this is a great eye cream if you are just a beginner like me and want to prevent the signs of aging. Or, if you are looking to try a new eye cream this one could be worth giving a go! It is also great if you have sensitive skin because there are no actives, no artificial fragrance, or alcohol!

Thank you for reading this far and I hope some of you will give this a go See you on my next review! ❣
