HI-REVIEW: HUXLEY Cleansing Routine #1

“Great things never came from comfort zones” - Aldous Huxley

This K-beauty brand commits to using only the best and most effective ingredients in their skincare. Huxley focuses on an ingredient that can only be found in the harshest desert in the world: the Sahara. The Moroccan cactus can only be found in the Sahara, this plant can withstand and thrive in the world’s harshest conditions. Which is why Huxley decided to create an entire skincare line using the prickly pear seed oil which isn’t easy at all!

It takes almost one million seeds to make only one litre of the prickly pear seed oil! The prickly pear seed oil actually contains a phytochemical that protects the body, which is what the actual plant does to protect itself in its harsh environment, it also maintains a moisture level of approximately 95% even in its dry environment. Studies have shown that the oil from the prickly pear seed is high in vitamin E, which is a great antioxidant. The prickly pear has also been used to help heal and treat wounds whilst giving your skin a nice healthy glow.

I’m currently using a whole skincare routine by Huxley but I will start with a review on the cleansers I’ve been using from them and my skin feels so amazing after!

CLEANSING WATER; BE CLEAN,BE MOIST

The HUXLEY Be Clean, Be Moist Cleansing Water is gentle yet an effective cleansing water that will sweep away your make-up and impurities from the skin, leaving it soft and moisturised. It is formulated with Sahara Prickly Pear Cactus extract, which is full of antioxidants to fight external stressors that can cause signs of ageing.

When I first opened up the Huxley cleansing water the scent was the first thing I noticed. At the start, I didn’t really enjoy the smell as I thought it was quite a strong floral scent that seemed a bit too overpowering but after a couple of uses just like the rest of the Huxley products I grew to really enjoy it. It smells like you’ve shoved your face into a giant bouquet of flowers sometimes. If you’re someone who doesn’t enjoy floral scents, take caution when looking into Huxley products.

OPINION : This is probably one of the most moisturising cleansing waters I’ve tried so far. I sometimes like to TRIPLE cleanse, so I like to wipe off my makeup once I get home and then double cleanse later in the evening. 🧖🏻‍♀️

The Huxley cleansing water is easy and simple to use with a wipe, effective when removing makeup, dirt and debris and is contains many anti-oxidising ingredients. After using the product my face would feel really soft and moisturised until I’ve doubled cleansed which is approximately one and a half hours later. It doesn't feel as sticky as other cleansing waters I’ve tried, but feels more like I’ve just used a very moisturising serum although there is some residue left (which is not very noticeable to me). 👌🏻
