If you’ve been dreaming of a fresh start, there’s still time - these tiny tweaks can make a world of difference! Here are micro-routines to steal now...

For most of us, EOY energy is equal parts chaos and excitement… everything, everywhere, all at once. You could wait until January to ‘fix’ your life, or you could start now with fun habits that’ll give you a headstart into 2026 (did I mention, completely stress-free?).

The Basket Scheme

Pick up 10 items you never use and put them in a cute basket to donate later (emphasis on cute).

This one is our favourite. You don’t have to decide right now! Just start gathering a pile of things you don’t reach for, tuck them away in a basket, and revisit later when you’re ready to donate. It’s decluttering without the overstimulating bit, and it feels oddly satisfying to see progress happen in bite-sized steps. Cute basket item #3: physical space + mental clarity!

Before the ball drops, it’s time to get focused and intentional. Think of this as your compass for the year ahead!

Start by picking your top three priorities and anchor yourself around them – fitness, finances, creativity… whatever makes your heart (and brain) feel aligned. Write them down in a cute journal or make a Pinterest moodboard. There’s no pressure to get it perfect; the goal is to have them decided, so when 2026 rolls around, you know what you’re focusing on.

Give your brain something prettier to chew on. Reading resets your attention span and makes your inner world feel a whole lot richer.

If your brain feels overstimulated from scrolling, this is your sign. Reading isn’t just aesthetic, it's literally weightlifting for your mind. Your sleep improves, stress levels drop, and you’ll wake up feeling less fried. Pick a book you’re genuinely excited about, order it now, and pop it on your nightstand so it’s waiting for you in January. Consider it your intellectual pre-game for 2026!

A tiny walk after meals can do wonders for digestion, energy, and your mood! Plus, it’s an easy way to sneak in movement without hitting the gym.

This is the micro-habit that’s as simple as it is effective. To prep for the year, why not treat yourself to some cute Christmas sneaker shopping? Once you’ve got a stylish pair, turn your post-meal walks into a mindfulness ritual; listen to your Spotify Wrapped, notice the smells in the air, and soak up a few minutes of calm. By the end of 2026, your body (and inner-to-outer glow) will already be thanking you.
