Here’s why Zara Larsson has already been spotted wearing this new K-beauty brand!

A New Take On K-Beauty

What’s Behind The Brand?

K-beauty is famous for its multi-step skincare routines: toners, essences, serums, ampoules, creams… you name it! But with so many steps to keep up with, are you the type of person that really needs ALL of them?

That's what Sumin Lee, co-founder of Korean favourite Beauty of Joseon, wants you to rethink. Her newest venture, Depthi, is built around one simple philosophy: “Fewer Steps, but Better Ones.”

Recently launched in October, Depthi is all about thoughtful formulas that actually earn their place on your shelf. The goal? Simplify your skincare without compromising on the good stuff. And they’ve got us listening!

Celebrity-Approved Debut?

Spotted on Zara Larrson

They already have a familiar face in their corner! Zara Larsson posted Tiktoks wearing the Blue Peptide Eye Patches while they were unreleased. Sumin Lee had sent them to the singer and she posted them organically, a nod to her viral “dolphin” pose.

But the founder didn’t set out to launch her brand with celebrity-led marketing. “Our goal isn’t to compete with other K-beauty brands for attention or to stand out for the sake of standing out. It’s to serve people who genuinely care about their skin and their well-being, and create products that are truly worth their time, money and trust,” - Depthi.

While many brands rely on the most hyped ingredient to do the heavy lifting, Sumin Lee wants Depthi to be more about innovative formulas with a playful twist. She’s proud of what she helped build with Beauty of Joseon, but wants to take a slower approach with this new brand so customers ideally need fewer steps.

That means with just starting out with 2 really well thought out products: the Dolphin Eye Patches & Bonding Barrier Cream.

Meet Their Two Newbies:

1. Dolphin Eye Patches 🐬

Those adorable dolphin-shaped patches aren't just here for the aesthetics!

Formulated with Peptides to tighten up fine-lines, Caffeine for an instant de-puff and hydrating ingredients such as Hyaluronic Acid, they're formulated to their overachievers to look cute and work suspiciously hard… so when you didn’t sleep 12 hours, these patches won’t like you did!

2. Bonding Barrier Cream 🫧

“Good hydration is the foundation of a healthy skin barrier, and we think it deserves a lot more attention than it gets.” - Depthi

So, think barrier care with a little extra science. Its formula combines plumping Peptides, soothing Panthenol and a Nano Lipid Complex to deeply nourish the skin barrier, alongside Urea and Hyaluronic Acid to quench dehydrated skin! Basically, this is going to be your barrier's new bestie.

Why We’re Loving It

Less Clutter, More Good Skin Days

Lee is also passionate about making skincare accessible in terms of price points! With their Eye Patches being $15 NZD and their Barrier Cream is $27. She says “Depthi wasn’t created to follow a market opportunity or a particular trend. It came from a personal desire to explore skincare more deeply and build something with a different perspective.”

So, would you try Depthi? Let us know, Beauties x
